Fresh Dartmoor Game; now in …
With the Game season now in full swing, Tor to Tor can now bring you excellent Wild Venison that has been hung and cut to your requirements. This meat is absolutely delicious and beautifully lean and tender. You can buy Saddle or Haunch and also our own hand made Venison Sausages. Make a different Sunday Roast and superb casserole too. We also have oven ready Partridge, Pheasant and now Rabbit also. We have been busy putting together an exciting menu of meat for you to select from this Festive Season including Dartmoor’s finest Barn Reared Bronze Turkeys from Frenchbeer Farm, Chagford. These are so succulent and tasty it makes my mouth water just thinking about them. They are great value too for the quality. This year we also have cooked Holwell Gammons that have been finished off to either breaded or honey glazed by our brigade of chefs at Holne Chase. If you have a dog, then what a treat you could be serving up, individual packets full of Dartmoor goodness delivered fresh and wrapped up so all you have to do is boil up and serve as required. Meat can also be frozen and we can cut bones to size too !

Widecombe Village Markets …
This popular market that showcases produce from the Widecombe Valley and beyond takes place the last Saturday every month. In December we have a really special one with Mulled Wine, BBQ and Eagle Handling Demonstration. You can also do your pre-Christmas meat shopping direct from the farmers and any last minute presents from the range of non-edible stallholders. Father Christmas will no doubt be putting in an appearance too; Saturday 15th December, The Church House – 9.30am to 3.30pm.
